Knoxville Ice Bears to wear ugly Christmas sweater hockey jersey

The Knoxville Ice Bears, a minor league hockey team in the Southern Professional Hockey League, has hopped on the ugly Christmas sweater train. The ECHL’s Reading Royals were the first to unveil hideous holiday jerseys for a game this December.

The Ice Bears will reportedly wear theirs on Dec. 21 when they play host to the Mississippi River Kings.

Not only will fans get to watch the team play in really intense threads, but they’ll also be treated to “the famous baby races.” The following according to the Ice Bears’ website:

The Knoxville Ice Bears would like to invite all fans to come and enjoy the famous baby races as the Ice Bears face the Mississippi RiverKings. This delightful and completely unpredictable event will be sure to entertain the entire family. One of the Ice Bears cutest competitions sponsored by Food City!

As a special treat the Knoxville Ice Bears will be wearing specialty jerseys which will be acutioned off immediately following the game.

Following the game, fans will be able to bid on their favorite player’s jersey from the night.

There’s almost too much holiday spirit to contain in one night.
